Trina's car uses 10 gallons of gas to travel 120 miles. If she has 5 gallons of gas in the tank, how much more gas will she need to drive 204 miles?

Need to break down the question. 10 gallons = 120 miles or 10g = 120. Divide 10 to the other side and g = 12. So this is 1 gallon of gas = 12 miles. She has 5 gallons so 5 x 12 = 60. She needs to drive so first take the 204 then subtract 60. 204-60 = 144. 144 = 12g. 144/12 = 12. She needs 12 more gallons of gas.
