Gatsby’s actions in preparing for Daisy’s arrival seem both flamboyant and absurd. What does he do? Why?

He has Nick's lawn cut while it's raining, has a ton of flower's sent to Nick's house, has food catered, and wears a very loud suit. He is trying to make sure everything is perfect for his reunion with her. It shows us a more "real" side to Gatsby- he is a man nervous about a date.
