Where do I start with this task? Design a serial code detector to detect the occurrence of a 5-bit sequence “10010” on a single input line P. The most significant bit (MSB) of the number is to be recognised first. Bits are clocked on P by a clock signal which is available for the detector circuit. Correct sequences are allowed to overlap. The circuit is to produce two outputs: X=1 when the first three or more bits of a correct sequence have been detected; Y=1 when the complete correct sequence is detected. Use a Mealy FSM to model the recogniser circuit. You must use only JK flip-flops.

My thoughts exactly @tanya123 :p Aha, but don't worry, it's been discussed in the lecture by the professor :) Thanks for the reply anyway!
