Which of the following fractions is the greatest in value? A. \frac{22}{35} B. \frac{17}{30} C. \frac{8}{15} D. \frac{3}{5}
will i be called rude if i tell you to use a calculator ?
LOL. I saw that comment and I waas like. "LOL." But I don't know what exactly to do.?
\[22\div 35\] see what you get then try the others
0.62857142857 is it me or is that complicated
otherwise you have to write them all with the least common multiple of \(35,30,15,5\) as the denomoinator
well you are only comparing them now try \(17\div 30\) and see if it is bigger or smaller
0.56666666666
i get \(.5666...\) so it is smaller than the first one
throw that one out now try \(8\div15\)
0.53333333333
still smaller one more to go
3/5 = 0.6
ok still smaller than the first one right?
Yea. So it's A
i can show you how to do this the math teacher way writing each fraction as an equivalent fraction with a denominator of \(210\) and then comparing the numerators we can do that if you like
but really decimals are made for calculators , rude as it may be
Wouldn't it just be easier to use the calculator? I only have an hour left and I still need help ;-;. I don't need a lecture from a math teacher (No offense)
yeah i think so, that is why i said it
XD
