it's B. I have no other way to explain this.

OpenStudy (imamermaid29):

Which words are the infinitive and the last word of the infinitive phrase in the sentence? Our van is able to fit up to nine children. A. to fit children B. up to children C. to nine children D. to fit up

OpenStudy (imamermaid29):

@gabbyalicorn

OpenStudy (gabbyalicorn):

here we go... Basically, an infinitive verb is a verb with the word “to” in front of it. So we can eliminate B

OpenStudy (imamermaid29):

would it be D?

OpenStudy (gabbyalicorn):

Well we add to + a verb and I believe fit is used as a verb in this sentence. But then again it could be A or D, but I'm leaning towards D.
