Asteroid A: m = 1000 kg , s = 100 m/s Asteroid B: m = 2000 kg , s = 80 m/s Initial velocities are perpendicular to each other ( A moving initially to the right and B initially upwards) a.) How would I determine the fractional decrease in total KE of the two asteroids? b.) If average heat capacity is 2.05 kJ/kg*C, how do I calculate how much the temperature of the asteroids rose as a result of the collision?
