A certain airline requires that the total outside dimensions (length + width + height) of a carry-on bag not exceed 22 inches. Suppose you want to carry on a bag whose length is twice its height. What is the largest volume bag of this shape that you can carry on a flight? (Round your answer to the nearest integer.)

OpenStudy (tanner23456):

So, the biggest it can be is 22 inches right? 22 = L + W + H in our case we have a bag whose length is twice it's height. L = 2H Since we want to find volume we're going to use this formula: V = L*W*H
