Check my answer?

OpenStudy (diana.xl):

Write a set of linear inequalities to represent the following graph. http://prntscr.com/8vwr0g

OpenStudy (michele_laino):

I think that the green region is represented by this inequality: \[y \geqslant - \frac{2}{3}x + 3\]

OpenStudy (diana.xl):

idk im really confused tbh

OpenStudy (michele_laino):

the equation of the green line, is: \[\frac{y}{3} + \frac{x}{{9/2}} = 1\]

OpenStudy (michele_laino):

since it passes at points \((0,3)\) and \((4.5,0)\) I have used this: \((4.5=9/2)\)

OpenStudy (michele_laino):

similarly, the blue line, passes at points \((0,-7)\) and \((3/2,0)\), so its equation is: \[\frac{y}{{ - 7}} + \frac{x}{{3/2}} = 1\]

OpenStudy (michele_laino):

so, the blue region, is represented by this inequality: \[y \geqslant \frac{{14x}}{3} - 7\]

OpenStudy (diana.xl):

so would it be like this? http://prntscr.com/8vww2g

OpenStudy (michele_laino):

correct!

OpenStudy (diana.xl):

Thank u!

OpenStudy (michele_laino):

:)
