Nnesha (nnesha):

they gave u the equation where n = number of term that u have to find so to find 2nd term replace n with 2 to find 3rd term replace n with 3

Nnesha (nnesha):

\[\huge\rm t_\color{Red}{n}=-3t_{\color{Red}{n}-1}\] find 2nd term so replace n with 2 \[\huge\rm t_\color{Red}{2}=-3t_{\color{Red}{2}-1}\] now simplify

OpenStudy (xmistermayhem):

So the second number is the first one times 3?

Nnesha (nnesha):

right!

Nnesha (nnesha):

wait it's -3 that's the common ratio

OpenStudy (xmistermayhem):

Ohhh okay. So if the first is 4, the second is -12? third would be 36?

OpenStudy (xmistermayhem):

errr 48*

Nnesha (nnesha):

errr which one is 48 ?

OpenStudy (xmistermayhem):

Wait no yea 36.

OpenStudy (xmistermayhem):

Sorry, had a bad derp moment. I meant it'd be 4, -12, 36, -108?

Nnesha (nnesha):

correct

OpenStudy (xmistermayhem):

Awesome!!! Thank you so, so much. =)

Nnesha (nnesha):
