Hi OS Just want to know when is @preetha going to do the next running for New Ambi's as some ambi's are going inactive. And the OS violation rates are increasing due to OS mods and ambi's are offline. Most that are online are helping out users or trying to enforce the CoC elsewhere. Please let me know.

Hi.
Preetha is currently in Chile and busy. Eric has disappeared, so I do not know when the new batch of ambi's is going to be announced. However you can give yourself a better stab at being coming ambi by greeting users, and being friendly ^-^ Also helping users with their questions will also raise your chance B)

Here is some of the info on ambi requirements

Ambassadors are representatives of OpenStudy. We answer questions from new users. We welcome and greet users. It's our job to be the embodiment of OpenStudy's ideologies.
Before I go any further, there are strict requirements you must meet.
◘ Be thirteen or older
◘ Have a form of ID - excluding a birth certificate
◘ Have no serious offenses on your record
◘ If you have serious offenses, an additional process may be required
◘ Have read the Code of Conduct and Terms, and understand the rules
◘ Have at least 90 days studied
Do you meet these requirements? If so, then please read the next part of the process.
There are some key behaviors that Ambassadors must express
◘ As an Ambassador, you agree to always be kind and understanding
◘ As an Ambassador you should let users know you appreciate them
◘ Congratulate and reward positive behavior, and discourage negative behavior
◘ Lead by example!
◘ Respect the staff - never talk ill of OpenStudy
◘ Never disclose personal information if shared with you

Our jobs is to welcome new users, not moderate.

We can't stop violations with having powers. And most users who violate are older users who already know the rules. So trying to make them stop without powers is a waste of our time.

Ok, *update* I am not sure where McCormick is so we were slowed down a bit. Where ever you are Eric, we wish you well, our thoughts and prayers are with you - and anything else you need as well. OK, in his absence, newly minted mod, Compassionate has agreed to help run the Ambi program. So we will be getting to work soon and start recruiting and signing up new Ambis.
