Please help me! Im beyond confused :/ Given the three statements below, draw a conclusion. If you had to use the contrapositive, please tell which statement needed to be switched. If no conclusion can be drawn, please state “no conclusion: 1. If you do you not live in the woods, you are not a magical fairy. 2. If you do not have a chipmunk as a pet, then you prefer to live in the city. 3. If your pet is a chipmunk, then you are a magical fairy.

Please Guys! Any help would be appreciated :)

Combining 1 and 3, you get If you do not live in the woods, then your pet is not a chipmunk. Now combine this with 2 to get your conclusion.

@ospreytriple So then it would be.... If you do not have a chipmunk as a pet, then your pet is not a chipmunk. Or would it be.... If you do not live in the woods, then you prefer to live in the city?

I like the second one! Well done!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@ospreytriple Okay thank you so much! I was so confused by what it meant when it said " If you had to use the contrapositive, please tell which statement needed to be switched.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@ospreytriple Which statement required a contrapositive though?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

With the logic that I used, it would be 3.

@ospreytriple Okay thank you :)
