A few examples would be Mesopotamia, Ancient Egypt, Ancient Sumeria, the Nubians, the Vikings, Goths, Gauls, Ancient Rome, Byzantine Empire.

I would say Ancient Egypt or Rome because both of those places have a very interesting history
