OpenStudy (gabbyalicorn):

PLEASE HELP!!! WILL MEDAL!!! What is the approximate volume of a sphere with a radius of 12 ft? Use 3.14 to approximate pi and express your answer in hundredths. ft3 I got 7238.56 Is this correct?

Directrix (directrix):

Did you use V = (4/3)*pi*r^3 for the formula?

OpenStudy (gabbyalicorn):

Well, to be honest, I sort of used a sphere calculator. Sorry. I'm not really sure if it's correct but, if I were to do the problem, I would probably do those steps. Let me do them right now...

OpenStudy (gabbyalicorn):

I got 7234.56. :D

Directrix (directrix):

(4/3)*3.14*(12)^3 >>7234.56 That is what I got here: http://www.wolframalpha.com/input/?i=%284%2F3%29*3.14*%2812%29^3

Directrix (directrix):

Answer in cubic feet.

OpenStudy (gabbyalicorn):

:D Cool! Thank you @Directrix :}

Directrix (directrix):

You are welcome.
