You run a chromatogram of inks belonging to three crime suspects and from a ransom note. The inks resolve into the following numbers of spots: suspect A = 2, suspect B = 4, suspect C = 2, note = 4.

Hey @xoxo_jessie, Ref: http://openstudy.com/study#/updates/5083266ae4b0dab2a5ec0d5c http://openstudy.com/study#/updates/52307cbee4b03eb771a2016f hmm, i think, In the example above, the chromatogram of each ink indicates how many components are present in the ink. The note ink had 4 components, suspect B's ink also had 4. This result makes it more likely that suspect B wrote the note. Both suspect A and C ink only had 2 components, meaning it is unlikely their ink was used to write the note.
