I have a few math questions (sorry i'm very behind in math)

OpenStudy (celinegirl):

Is the following relation a function? yes no

OpenStudy (xmissalycatx):

No, because if x (your domain) repeats then it is NOT a function. That would mean that there are multiple lines or curves or whatever going through the same point..

OpenStudy (celinegirl):

@xMissAlyCatx thanks (:

OpenStudy (celinegirl):

Choose the equation below that represents the line passing through the point (2, -4) with a slope of 1/2 A.) y = 1/2x + 5 B.) y = 1/2x - 3 C.) y = 1/2x - 5 D.) y = 1/2x + 3

OpenStudy (celinegirl):

The graph below shows four straight lines, P, Q, R, and S: Which line is represented by the function f(x) = 4x – 3? Line P Line Q Line R Line S

OpenStudy (xmissalycatx):

for the 2nd question it would be Line S because in your equation it says "-3" which is the intersection on the y axis.. so you would find -3 intersecting with your y axis on line s

OpenStudy (xmissalycatx):

And the first one is C

OpenStudy (celinegirl):

The table below shows the distance d(t) in meters that an object travels in t seconds: t seconds | d(t) (meters) 2 64 4 256 6 576 8 1024 What is the average rate of change of d(t) between 2 seconds and 6 seconds, and what does it represent? A.)128 m/s; it represents the average speed of the object between 2 seconds and 6 seconds B.) 80 m/s; it represents the average speed of the object between 2 seconds and 6 seconds C.) 128 m/s; it represents the average distance traveled by the object between 2 seconds and 6 seconds D.) 80 m/s; it represents the average distance traveled by the object between 2 seconds and 6 seconds

OpenStudy (xmissalycatx):

I would go with A

OpenStudy (celinegirl):

@xMissAlyCatx thanks

OpenStudy (celinegirl):

A student took a test which had 6 questions. He would score 8 points on the test if all his answers are correct. If y represents the student's score when he got x questions incorrect, which graph best represents this situation?

OpenStudy (xmissalycatx):

A I believe.

OpenStudy (celinegirl):

@xMissAlyCatx thanks for all your help (:

OpenStudy (xmissalycatx):

You're very welcome, good luck and have a good day :)
