okay so you have to find 40% of $29 and then you add that much to $29 because you have to pay the price of the one shirt

so 40% of 29 is 11.60 +29= 40.60 for both shirts so you are going to save 17.40

but altogether he spends 40.60 with the 40% sale on 2nd shirt :)
