Yo estuve en la escuela por tres horas. Or: Yo estuve en la escuela durante tres horas.
Yo no estuve en la biblioteca ni en el centro ayer. Or: Ayer yo no estuve en la biblioteca ni en el centro. In all of the cases, you can omit the pronoun "yo", since we can understand the pronoun because of the verb conjugation.
