Please help will give medal! elect the equation of the line that passes through the point (3, 5) and is perpendicular to the line x = 4. y = 5 x = 5 y = 4 x = 3
x=4 is a vertical line, so a line perpendicular to it would be horizontal. A horizontal line passing through (3, 5) would be y=5 :)
thx can you help me with another
Sure, I can try!
Graph with a line going through points four comma 0 and four comma 2. Select the equation of the line that passes through the point (−2, 3) and is perpendicular to the line on the graph. y = 0 y = −2 y = 3 y = 3x
let me see if i can send a picture of the graph
thats the graph
So the line given is x=4, and is vertical. Do you have an idea of what the answer is?
i think its y= -2
The point the line passes through is (-2, 3). For points it is (x, y), so y does not equal -2. y actually equals 3. Good guess though! Just don't get your x and y mixed up :)
thanks
