Is Lucifer Satan? No!!

According to my reading of scripture Lucifer, the angle of light, is sometimes used synoynous with Satan, the fathers of lies, which is loosely associated with the serpent in the garden of Eden.

Isaiah 14:12 seems to disagree. There is only one named individual who has taken this path.

My conclusion is that they are the same individual. I know of no revelation or scholarly effort to state otherwise.

Well, we have this little problem. We have the odd prevailing doctrine that there are no more prophets and the heavens are closed. This actually prevents us from understanding the scriptures. This is a common fallacy, " which I've determined to be ". Many, many things can be construed, but what actually IS the mind and will and timing of God? This we can't answer without God's explanation. Since He works through prophets, this gives us a problem - unless there ARE prophets. I find it interesting that ALL authors included in the Bible were ALIVE when they wrote their books. Not a single dead person wrote any of the Bible. Our own personal interpretations are just that, our own. They are not God's. We MIGHT get lucky and get close, but I wouldn't count on it happening regularly.

Now, that would depend on what you are talking about. If you are talking about interpreting scriptures, then definitely prophets. If you are talking about spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ, then both. We need prophets to interpret the mind and will of God and scientists to make tools to shout these things from the tops of our houses.

The actual function of a Prophet is to give guidance to his people and occasionally a prophecy. In our world of Statism its the government that gives guidance, K-12 and colleges are part of State stuctures, and science attempts to see the future.

Umm... No. The actual function of a prophet is to know the mind and will of God (past, present, and future) and share it with us as directed by God. If we discard prophets in favor of the wisdom or actions of man, this will not go well.

Your transference of function would require a changing God. If God is to be the same, yesterday, today, and forever, it really doesn't matter what man has to offer or how man tries to redefine His purpose. The laws of God are eternal and immutable and were established before the foundations of the Earth. All the governments and scientists on Earth cannot change that fundamental truth.

I didn't say I agreed with Statism, what I said is it exist. As for the Prophet to know the mind of God I disagree, what they get is given by God for the guidance of their people and sometimes God gives a glimpes of the future.

Instead of calling the Devil: O Day Star, they call him Lucifer. So this proves Lucifer is Satan!
