How many times should a Oreo be dunked in milk for perfection? Based off of the mass and density of the cookie, and the right point between soggy and dry, explain how many times an Oreo should be dunked. Please help, will give medal

Please please help

Hmm, this seems to need some EXPERIMENTAL data collection I'll brb... lol

OpenStudy (ybarrap):

I think you need the absorption capability coefficient of the cookie then determine how this effects the density of the cookie over time. As the cookie absorbs more milk, it becomes denser and eventually falls away due to the weakening of the sugar bonds holding it together and the additional weight of the milk that was absorbed. |dw:1446070788226:dw| Once you determine the desired 'sogginess' , determine the density at that point. Then determine how each dunk affects the ability of the cookie to absorb additional milk. Sum the cumulative milk over time to determine the density that meets your sogginess objective. Does that make sense? ;-)

Ok...

Thanks that helps

It's a shame I can't eat the Oreos until the end of the experiment
