Was wondering if there was an easier way to do this, or do I have to do Descartes's rule and synthetic division?

You can use the rational root theorem to generate all the possible rational roots. Then you check each possible root to see if it's a real root. Once you have your roots, you can use long division or synthetic division to find the other roots
