Write 3 numbers between 30 and 50 that have: a) Exactly 2 factors each and b) More that 2 factors each I also need THE factors. EX. a1) 35 (35 x 1, 5 x 7)

OpenStudy (superdavesuper):

Hint for a) Exactly 2 factors each - those 2 factors must both be prime numbers themselves.

OpenStudy (superdavesuper):

for b) i dont think u can go more than 3 factors....all must be primes again. Good luck :)

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

@superdavesuper I think you meant to say that if the number has exactly 2 factors, then that number is prime

OpenStudy (superdavesuper):

@jim_thompson5910 ooops...TRICKY prob!!! yes, if the number itself and 1 counts as 2 factors, then yes, a) is asking for any prime number between 30-50 i had thought, by mistake, that the prob was asking for a number w 2 factors other than the number itself and 1. But i think u are right! thanks for correcting me!

OpenStudy (tkhunny):

30 31 - Prime 32 33 34 35 36 37 - Prime 38 39 40 41 - Prime 42 43 - Prime 44 45 46 47 - Prime 48 49 50 You can rule out some rather quickly.
