OpenStudy (gojanij):

domain of f(x)=(x-1)^2-9 interval notation

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

Is this function ever undefined?

OpenStudy (gojanij):

no?

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

Why so unsure?

OpenStudy (gojanij):

well the question asked to find the vertex, x and y intercepts. found them but now need the domain and have no idea what you are talking about to be completely honest

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

I will tell you a rule, that a polynomial is defined for any real x. Saying that if you had a polynomial P(x), then the domain of P(x) would always be "all real numbers", which is \((-\infty,+\infty)\).

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

You can choose any polynomial that will make you smile or cry, and plug in any real number that you can or cannot think of, then you will get a defined output for this.

OpenStudy (gojanij):

ok.
