Linear Regression Question

OpenStudy (dehelloo):

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

easy thing to do is put the bivariate data into excel do a scatter plot then right click on a data point and get line of best fit

OpenStudy (dehelloo):

Not understanding question 11.

OpenStudy (dehelloo):

I thought it would be B

OpenStudy (dehelloo):

Instead its E...

OpenStudy (dehelloo):

Also, once you answer that if we are converting r^2 into r but r^2 is negative Do we just Square root the r^2 without the negative and then add the negative to the answer? Will of course medal. Thanks for the help.

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

ok... 3 median regression line is painful so you need to split the data into 3 parts equal number of points then find the median of the lower 3 points the median of the middle points the median of the upper points then draw a line that closely approximates the 3 points when you get the line, you can find the slope... no real short cut to the problem but as a guide look at the scales.... rise is 60 run is 180... \

OpenStudy (dehelloo):

Ya the slope is 0.3 Thats fine ( 52-12/156-130) Its just question 11 I dont understand
