OpenStudy (nuccioreggie):

What is the rate of change and initial value for the linear relation that includes the points shown in the table? x y 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 Initial value: 1, rate of change: 2 Initial value: 1, rate of change: 1 Initial value: 2, rate of change: 2 Initial value: 3, rate of change: 2

OpenStudy (jack1):

dude, u either need to graph it, or go to the link i sent you and learn the topic

OpenStudy (jack1):

if it helps, x is usually time, and y is usually value... so initial value is whatever value y is when x = 0

OpenStudy (nuccioreggie):

ok

OpenStudy (jack1):

rate of change is gradient/slope/m/whatever you want to call it, look at the link or any of the previous 5 questions equation is m=y2-y1 / x2-x1

OpenStudy (nuccioreggie):

ok i got it its B

OpenStudy (nuccioreggie):

because it has a slope of 1

OpenStudy (jack1):

so when you work it out, your equation will be like : y = mx + c c = initial value m = rate of change

OpenStudy (jack1):

true, slope = 1, perfect man!

OpenStudy (texaschic101):

nicely done :)

OpenStudy (nuccioreggie):

trues thnx
