Help with physics, Question is attatched
Calculate the answer for each of the following and explain/show your reasoning. No credit for answers only. a) What is the magnitude and direction of the frictional force on the couch? b) What is the total force on the couch? c) What is the acceleration of the couch? d) (Advanced) How much time did it take to push the couch the 3 m?
@undeadknight26
Well uhh I never did Physics... @GreenCat @Empty @ikram002p @imqwerty @ParthKohli @clamin @CShrix
Haha that's ok(:
what is the coefficient of friction? is it given in the ques?
I have no idea, I literally don't know how to do this. :( @imqwerty
WAIT I FOUND IT!! "You need to push the couch 3 m to the other side of the room. After the initial push to get it going you push on the 80 Kg couch with a steady horizontal force of 500 N. The coefficient of kinetic friction between the couch and the floor is 0.6." @imqwerty
ok don't wry :) its not difficult
Don't just rub it in my face qwerts ;~;
hahah!!
so 1st we need to find magnitude and direction of frictional force the direction of frictional force is always opposite to the direction of motion of the body and magnitude of frictional force is given this formula->\[F=\mu N \]where μ=coefficient of kinetic friction N=total normal force the acts upon the body ok till now?
lol traiq cx
Traiq. I hope that's a typo.
sry of the typo *tariq :)
*for
Good!
Good boy. Any who carry on I'll stop spams <3
ok so can u find the magnitude?
348?
how did u get that :) its not correct
wait...300? haha im stupid
if ur confused with the normal then the normal is nothing but N=mg where m=mass of body g=gravity no 300 is not correct
:(
I don't understand
470!!
sry mom called me to do some wrk
yes :) it wuld be-> \[Friction=0.6 \times 80 \times 9.8\] Fiction=470.4 N
It's ookay(: haha I got it!!! Thank you!!
