Identify one type of pathogen or infectious agent. Describe ways to prevent the spread of the diseases this type of pathogen can cause and explain why these preventative measures are important.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Pathogen / infections agent = parasite, fungi, bacteria or virus that somehow is bad for our health As an example, in the textbook case of the common cold viruses, wash your hands (preferably with a disinfectant) and dont stay near disease vectors (sick people). This will reduce the chances that you get infected since you wont probably have people spraying microscopic virusfilled droplets into the air for you to inhale. And since you wash your hands you lower the risk of accidently infecting your self with those virus droplets you unknowingly picked up on the doorknob at work...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

is that in your own words

yes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

binds to the CB1 receptors of the brain, which then break down and produce the "high" feeling that you get if you have it in your system in enough amount.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The CB1 receptors, when they break down, appear as empty regions in MRI scans in your brain, though over a small amount of time, naturally grow back and the "holes" in your brain that were there seemingly seem to be filled again, for no apparent reason, other than the fact that the CB1 receptors grew back.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Crystal meth is a cheap drug, and easy to makeIt gives a short burst of intense sensation and makes the user feel all floaty with crazy amounts of meth stimulating their brain
