I WILL FAN PLEASE HELP 3. (03.06 MC) Part A: Michael rented a car for 2 days at $225.00 per day. If he rents the same car for 5 days, he has to pay a total of $480. Write an equation in the standard form that represent the total rent (y) that Michael has to pay for renting the car for x days. (4 points) Part B: Write the equation obtained in Part A using function notation. (2 points) Part C: Describe the steps to graph the equation obtained above on the coordinate axes. Mention the labels on the axes and the intervals. (4 points) (10 points)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Taking that he paid 480 for 5 days .. states he pays 96 a day

OpenStudy (anonymous):

y = 96x for the "x" days of renting a car. Goes with theory that if you keep the car longer your day rate will be cheaper

OpenStudy (anonymous):

f(x) = 96x

OpenStudy (anonymous):

is that step a or all of it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

step A and B

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i fanned u cause i said i would for helping me if u can help me with the rest of the problem

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok what is step c

OpenStudy (anonymous):

You tell me what you think we ought to do for step C...gotta make you think or I just be giving you answers

OpenStudy (anonymous):

your absolutely right i am not actually sure what the question is asking

OpenStudy (anonymous):

are u still there

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@JuanitaM

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Well for starters, what kind of graph would y = 96x be?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

a x and y graph

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Its Linear, right... so you choose a couple of points to plot on the graph

OpenStudy (anonymous):

for lines, two points should be suffice, I like to use x = 0 and x = 4 then you know that corresponding y = 0 and y = 24 plot dots and draw a line

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok did that what next

OpenStudy (anonymous):

that is final step

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok thanks

OpenStudy (anonymous):

THANKS @JuanitaM

OpenStudy (anonymous):

You welcome - do you understand ALL three steps?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes
