D BCOZ PARTICIPLE IS NORMALLY USED AS ADJECTIVE...

You seem to be correct! I just looked up a participle, and I found that they either end in -ing or -ed, -d, -t, -en, or -n. Drooling is the only one that ends in any of those, so drooling seems to be the correct answer.
