Pre-calc question (polynomial roots) the pic contains 3 statements, i need to: Identify the contradictory statement, explain why the statement you chose contradicts each of the other two, describe how the contradictory statement could be changed to make it agree with the other two statements.
@Michele_Laino @ParthKohli @Nnesha can any of you help with this?
first statement: here we have to simplify the right side, so I can write this: \[{x^2} - 4x + 9 - \frac{{30}}{{x + 4}} = \frac{{\left( {{x^2} - 4x + 9} \right)\left( {x + 4} \right) - 30}}{{x + 4}} = ...?\] please continue
am i simplifying all of what you wrote or only what's on the right side of he equal sign?
please simplify the fraction at the right side
\[\frac{ x ^{3}-7x+6 }{x+4 }\]
so the roots to that are (1,0) and (2,0), correct?
