ASAP PLEASE HELP

OpenStudy (liv1234):

OpenStudy (xmissalycatx):

B

OpenStudy (anonymous):

(2,-2)

OpenStudy (xmissalycatx):

You're plugging in your coordinates (which are your answer choices) into the equations.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I would suggest using substitution to solve for one of the variables then plug that in to solve for the other one.

OpenStudy (liv1234):

I'm confused as to why it would be B though, can you explain it to me?

OpenStudy (xmissalycatx):

Yes. Because you have 2 and -2. 2 is your x value on the graph (axis) so you would plug 2 into wherever it says "x" in your equations. -2 is your y value on the graph (axis) so you would plug -2 into wherever it says "y".

OpenStudy (xmissalycatx):

Does that help?

OpenStudy (liv1234):

Do you think you could help me with a couple more please?

OpenStudy (liv1234):

OpenStudy (liv1234):

@xMissAlyCatx @Lily2913

OpenStudy (xmissalycatx):

that one is B as well

OpenStudy (liv1234):

Are you just guessing though?

OpenStudy (xmissalycatx):

I have to go now, it was nice talking to you. if you ever need help and I'm on just feel free to ask. And no I'm 100% sure.

OpenStudy (xmissalycatx):

I looked & did mental math xD

OpenStudy (liv1234):

I think it is C

OpenStudy (anonymous):

(2,-4)

OpenStudy (xmissalycatx):

Oh yeeee. I wrote the wrong one D; It's (2, -4) xD

OpenStudy (anonymous):

-2x - y = 0 3x - y = 10 y = -2x 3x - (-2x) = 10 -> 5x = 10 x = 2 3(2) - y = 10 -> -y = 10-6 -> y = -4

OpenStudy (liv1234):

@Lily2913 can you check my answer for one of my questions?

OpenStudy (liv1234):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes, that looks right.

OpenStudy (liv1234):

You sure?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

-2x -y = 1 -> y = -1 - 2x -4x - 2(-1 - 2x) = -1 -4x +2 +4x = -1 -> 0*x = -1 -2 so 0 = -3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

if you know how to do matrices you can see that the determinate is 0 since it's a \[\left[\begin{matrix}-2 & -1 \\ -4 & -2\end{matrix}\right]\] 2x2 matrix and the det is (-2*-2) - (-4*-1) -> 4 - 4 = 0
