I can't see any of your figures.
This is how point (2, -3) shows on a coordinate plane.
The x-coordinates is 2. x is right or left. 2 is positive, so it is 2 to the right.
The y-coordinate is -3. y is up or down. -3 is negative, so it is 3 down.
