First find out how many times the denominator goes into the numerator nicely, without any decimal points. Subtract your answer from step one from the numerator and that will be your left over fraction. 22/7 7*3=21 Since you multiply 7 by 3, 3 will be our whole number out in front of the fraction. 22-21=1 3 1/7
