OpenStudy (athecool):

How do you get a label? Like the ones beside the username?? For instance "Trusted Helper", "Eggheaded Professor"??

OpenStudy (alexandervonhumboldt2):

there are 3 titles in each subject: in math there are human calc mathlets, professors, here trusted helpers. for green titles you need to have 50 medals in particular subject and 50 smartcents. for blue titles you need 500 medals and 500 smartsects for purple you need 3000 medlas in particular subject and 3000 smartcents. i advise you not to unlock the eggheaded professor title. I don't want you to be egg headed (anti-intelectual)

OpenStudy (athecool):

Also what does it mean when you get a smart score of 99??

OpenStudy (alexandervonhumboldt2):

you need to help a lot to get a 99 ss

OpenStudy (athecool):

So you mean like upgrading sort of like in games?

OpenStudy (athecool):

@AlexandervonHumboldt2 so you mean like upgrading i games?

OpenStudy (athecool):

in games

OpenStudy (alexandervonhumboldt2):

i never played games.

OpenStudy (athecool):

Oh okay.

OpenStudy (alexandervonhumboldt2):

but it is an upgrading

OpenStudy (athecool):

So eggheaded professors need to have 2 99 smart scores and a helper only needs 1?

OpenStudy (alexandervonhumboldt2):

no

OpenStudy (alexandervonhumboldt2):

or green titles you need to have 50 medals in particular subject and 50 smartcents. for blue titles you need 500 medals and 500 smartsects for purple you need 3000 medlas in particular subject and 3000 smartcents.

OpenStudy (athecool):

okay i get it.

OpenStudy (alexandervonhumboldt2):

have a read http://openstudy.com/study#/updates/543de42fe4b0b3c6e146b5e8

OpenStudy (athecool):

But how do you get that? That will maybe take like my whole life time. I mean the purple one.

OpenStudy (athecool):

IT sounds impossible

OpenStudy (athecool):

Can hackers hack into this system?

OpenStudy (alexandervonhumboldt2):

i will get a honorary proffesot in math soon

OpenStudy (athecool):

Can I help in any way?

OpenStudy (athecool):

Hey @YoungStudier

OpenStudy (youngstudier):

..Uhm, Hi...

OpenStudy (athecool):

What's about the testimony? What is it for?

OpenStudy (alexandervonhumboldt2):

wellit is like your opinion about a person

OpenStudy (athecool):

Hi @pooja195

OpenStudy (athecool):

cool

OpenStudy (alexandervonhumboldt2):

i can write you `awesome person, very patient`

OpenStudy (athecool):

okay.

OpenStudy (athecool):

I get it.

OpenStudy (athecool):

So know do I close this ?

OpenStudy (alexandervonhumboldt2):

yeah

OpenStudy (athecool):

So what if I get a 99 smartscore on one? Do i become one?

OpenStudy (alexandervonhumboldt2):

i dont understand?

OpenStudy (athecool):

So even if you get a 99 smart score you don't become a helper or something like that. UNless you meet the requirements?

pooja195 (pooja195):

Yes to be a qualified helper Qualified Helpers are a small group of outstanding and dedicated helpers that have been trained to help users get fast and detailed help on their questions. Moderators can apply to be Qualified Helpers. Non-moderator applicants must: - Have at least one title - No suspensions - Send in a ID - Sign a agreement - Go through the selection and interview process - Commit at least 2 hours a day to OpenStudy Apply here to be a Qualified Helper: http://goo.gl/wUODVK

OpenStudy (athecool):

Oh! Okay! Thanks!

OpenStudy (athecool):

Can you resend the link? it doesn't work?

pooja195 (pooja195):

http://goo.gl/wUODVK

OpenStudy (athecool):

What so do you mean you don't need to get like 50 medals and 50 smartcent or something else to be a qualified helper sort of thing?

OpenStudy (athecool):

@pooja195 @AlexandervonHumboldt2

OpenStudy (alexandervonhumboldt2):

no

OpenStudy (alexandervonhumboldt2):

smartcents and medal are for titles only

OpenStudy (athecool):

Yeah that what I'm saying.

pooja195 (pooja195):

Here this should explain it :) http://blog.openstudy.com/2014/06/11/introducing-smartcents To be a qualified helper you need to meet all of the requirements i listed above. However I am the first and only under-aged qualified helper (16) So apply :)

OpenStudy (athecool):

like

OpenStudy (athecool):

Um @pooja195 so what if I'm also about 13 and underage?

OpenStudy (alexandervonhumboldt2):

you can also become a moderator or ambassador: Ambassadors are representatives of OpenStudy. We answer questions from new users. We welcome and greet users. It's our job to be the embodiment of OpenStudy's ideologies. Before I go any further, there are strict requirements you must meet. ◘ Be thirteen or older ◘ Have a form of ID - excluding a birth certificate ◘ Have no serious offenses on your record ◘ If you have serious offenses, an additional process may be required ◘ Have read the Code of Conduct and Terms, and understand the rules ◘ Have at least 90 days studied Do you meet these requirements? If so, then please read the next part of the process. There are some key behaviors that Ambassadors must express ◘ As an Ambassador, you agree to always be kind and understanding ◘ As an Ambassador you should let users know you appreciate them ◘ Congratulate and reward positive behavior, and discourage negative behavior ◘ Lead by example! ◘ Respect the staff - never talk ill of OpenStudy ◘ Never disclose personal information if shared with you Do you feel like Ambassadorship is something you would want to do? Do you want a bright future with OpenStudy? Then become an Ambassador! [NOTE: The application, or form, is often subject to change. A message will be posted in either the Ambassador Group or OpenStudy Feedback with details on how to submit an application] You can contact e.mccormick , thomaster , shrutipande9 , ashleyisakitty or hartnn for additional Ambassador opportunities. form link: https://docs.google.com/a/openstudy.com/forms/d/14kZejqKJuYBxuRCxCjwa-rAUtScOYB6KTlrZDmYLTGM/viewform How to become a Moderator: First rule: You must be 18+, due to legal issues. Second rule: You have to be, and act mature. Then you have to win the respect of this community through interaction, knowledge and the ability to interact and intervene in an appropriate manner. It is in big part based on participation, courtesy and respect. The most important thing is that you let the administrators and moderators know that you can see things going awry, and that you are willing to make some effort to solve/prevent it. And certainly NOT in a way like messaging them about how bad you want to be a moderator (this will only work contradictory), but they have to notice that you are up for the job. Then, when they decide they need more moderators, you might get asked. ◘ Being on the site for a fair amount of time. (usually more than 6 months) ◘ Be a good and active user on the site ◘ Having a squeaky clean abuse record. ◘ Have good rapport with fellow users. ◘ Having a good sense of justice. ◘ Being an expert in some field. Most of the mods are math geniuses. But any subject would suffice. ◘ Doing a great job in the ambassador program. In the ambassador training period, you'll learn how the rules work on OpenStudy and you'll learn how to make the right decisions. ◘ Hope you'll get lucky when they decide to add more moderators! ~thomaster

pooja195 (pooja195):

Well you aren't supposed to be here if you are not 13 or above. @AlexandervonHumboldt2 you cannot become a mod you need to be asked to become a mod by an admin

OpenStudy (alexandervonhumboldt2):

i dont understand what you mean?

OpenStudy (athecool):

I mean about 13 somewhere there because I don't want to tell people my age!

OpenStudy (alexandervonhumboldt2):

i'm not less than 13.

OpenStudy (athecool):

Same

pooja195 (pooja195):

You can still apply

OpenStudy (athecool):

But you need your Id ?

OpenStudy (athecool):

Is this for me or @AlexandervonHumboldt2

OpenStudy (athecool):

Stuff like that?

OpenStudy (athecool):

Hello?

OpenStudy (athecool):

@pooja195 you there

pooja195 (pooja195):

Proof of your age

pooja195 (pooja195):

So anything that can prove your age

OpenStudy (athecool):

okay.

OpenStudy (athecool):
