A researcher conducts a study to determine how effective a cream is at clearing up acne. The researcher’s study shows that the cream clears up around 80 percent of a patient’s acne. The researcher publishes her results. Several other scientists read about the experiment and repeat it in their own laboratories. Why are the scientists repeating an experiment that has already been done?

Hello

OpenStudy (gabebae):

Other scientists repeated the experiment to make sure it's true If the scientists ended up with the same results then the experiment is a success

Jordan wants to conduct an experiment to see if plant food makes a difference in how well plants grow. He gets 10 pots and plants a different type of seed in each. He gives plant food to half of the plants and does not give plant food to the rest. He records the amount of plant food given to the plants. But, he decides not to write down the types of seeds he planted. Will someone else be able to repeat the experiment and find reliable results?

OpenStudy (gabebae):

Everything he conducted in his experiment is wrong It's not reliable ^ that's for sure
