♣ The graph of y = sin(Bx + C) will have a horizontal shift of? --- sorry, said cot but it's tan \[y=\tan\left({3x-\frac{\pi}{2}}\right)\]♣ State the period and horizontal shift for the graph. (Find these values using the methods given in this definition http://goo.gl/GsVjUr ) period: π horizontal shift: ??? I put the below answer and was told that it was wrong:\[-\frac{3}{2}\]

OpenStudy (kittiwitti1):

woops typed wrong

imqwerty (imqwerty):

\[y=\cot \left( 3x-\frac{ \pi }{ 2 } \right)\] \[y=\cot(Bx+C)\] comparing we get->B=3 C=-pi/2 period =pi/B horizontal shift=-C/B substitute B and C to get answers

OpenStudy (phi):

it is shifted + pi/6 see imqwerty's post

OpenStudy (anonymous):

A horizontal stretch of scale factor 1/8 followed by C

OpenStudy (kittiwitti1):

Wait what
