Find the x-intercepts and y-intercepts of f. f(x)=(x-6)(x-4) Please help...

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

X-intercepts, are the X-solutions of the equation when Y=0. \(\color{red}{⚏⚏⚏⚏⚏⚏⚏⚏⚏⚏⚏⚏⚏⚏⚏⚏⚏⚏⚏⚏⚏⚏⚏⚏⚏⚏⚏⚏⚏⚏⚏⚏⚏⚏}\) Y-intercepts, are the Y-solutions of the equation when X=0.

OpenStudy (mrnood):

the y intercepts are found when x =0 so - put x = 0 int the equation and evaluate f(x) (there is ONE answer) the x intercepts are found whrn y = 0 so put f(x) = 0 since there are 2 factors already done for you - there are TWO answers

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay, so the x-intercepts would be 6, and 4 right?

OpenStudy (mrnood):

yes -good

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so the y-intercept is 24?

OpenStudy (mrnood):

ok - well done
