MsBrains (ms-brains):

@Lexie.Quinn @toloaf

OpenStudy (denonakavro):

For the first question think about w as width and 2w as length, because it is double the width

OpenStudy (denonakavro):

Tell me what you think

MsBrains (ms-brains):

I'm stuck, and lost on this... so I got no clue

OpenStudy (denonakavro):

I believe the question wants you to go slowly, so lets start by the 1st question 1) It is given that length is twice the width so the answer would be L=2w

MsBrains (ms-brains):

Okay, 1 is 2w

OpenStudy (denonakavro):

2) Lets plug in 2w instead of L into the formula they gave us 2w+2(2w)=72 2w+4w=72 6w=72

OpenStudy (denonakavro):

And for 3, lets solve it 6w=72 w=72/6 w=12 and now we have to find l L=2w L=2(12) L=24

OpenStudy (denonakavro):

Lets justify our answer 2(12) + 2(24) =72 24+48 =72 72=72 So, we were correct

OpenStudy (denonakavro):

DId you get it now, I tried to be as clear as possible

MsBrains (ms-brains):

Okay for two, I write: 2) Lets plug in 2w instead of L into the formula they gave us 2w+2(2w)=72 2w+4w=72 6w=72 ^ this now in the spot on my paper?

OpenStudy (denonakavro):

Yes thats correct

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I already did all the work I didn't have cause you got it bro @denonakavro dang it

MsBrains (ms-brains):

Do I need to write the justifying my answer part..?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It doesn't say to justify say I would just show my work step by step

OpenStudy (denonakavro):

No you dont I just wrote to show you that the calculations were correct

MsBrains (ms-brains):

Ok. Thanks guys. xD I wish I could Best response you both

OpenStudy (denonakavro):

Why cant you

MsBrains (ms-brains):

It only let's you give a medal to 1 person

OpenStudy (denonakavro):

Ohhhh
