Solve the following system of equations: x − 2y = 14 x + 3y = 9 (1, 12) (−1, −12) (12, −1) (12, 1)

OpenStudy (misty1212):

HI!!

OpenStudy (misty1212):

\[x − 2y = 14\\ x + 3y = 9\]

OpenStudy (misty1212):

subtract the second from the first, get \[-5y=5\]and so \(y=-1\)

OpenStudy (misty1212):

you only have one choice with \(-1\) in the second slot as usual it is C

OpenStudy (misty1212):

when i doubt, Charlie out
