How do I solve Multiplication Equations Using Division?

OpenStudy (timbo5lice):

what do u mean by that because 3*3=9 9/3=3 this is what i got in my head

OpenStudy (maddy1251):

Do you mean polynomials?

OpenStudy (mathmate):

Like this ? 100*0.2 = 100*(1/5)=100/5=20 or 27*25=27*(100/4)=2700/4=675 Usually it is advantageous when one of the multiplicands can be reduced to the reciprocal of a single digit number, in which case the division can be done mentally.

To solve a division equation, use the inverse operation of multiplication. Multiply both sides by the same number. Click the equation to see how to solve it.
