Some talking points include "slacktivism" , going onto the internet to voice your displeasure on Subject A, rather than /doing/ something about Subject A.

Ghandi: (easy pick, I know) - Lived an ascetic life to promote humbleness, went to jail for his beliefs. An example of leading by example.

I also suggest the benefits of leading by example rather than opinion. As in: More people are impressed by something that is being done, rather than something that is being talked about.
