Studying for an exam and I have no idea how to approach this. Please & Thank you! Graph the rational function. f(x)= x-5/x^2-25

Good question. The first step is to factorise the denominator. Then, we can simplify... but before we simplify, we should check what values of x the function doesn't work for; that is, for what values of x is the denominator 0? Write those down. Then, simplify the fraction and you'll realise you actually get a straight line! But it's a weird one because there are two "holes" in the line... see if you can find these "holes" and what the equation of the line will be.
