what are the types of cases heard in the each court: District, Circuit, US Supreme Court?

OpenStudy (tumblewolf):

The Court of Appeals is also known as the circuit court. They mostly see cases that have been appealed in district courts. The District courts mainly deal with what you would see in every day court. They generally weight evidence and decide which side is right and which is wrong. So mostly they resolve disputes (think of Judge Judy) The Supreme court is about as high as you can get. They mainly deal with cases involving the federal law or the Constitution.
