People attend college or university for many different reasons (for example, new experiences, career preparation, increased knowledge). Why do you think people attend college or university? Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer.

this is what I have written..

People go to college/university for various reasons. Most important is education and knowledge. While school education focuses on fundamentals of each subject. In college, students get chance to gain in-depth knowledge in the field of their interest. They are able to get necessary skills and trainings which would be useful when they get into a job or start working on their own projects or ideas.
Besides knowledge, many students go to a college/university for the experience. Most often they get to move out of their state or city or neighborhood for college. This gives  a chance to them to meet new people, learn about the culture prevalent in the area and learn different slangs. If a student is moving to a foreign country for a college or a university program, they get to experience entirely new culture, learn a foreign language, chance to explore new places and meet interesting people. Going to a college or a university forces a person to get out of their comfort zone and get fulfilling experiences.
Lastly college/university education has become a norm these days and everyone is expected to have a bachelor's degree atleast. Pressure from parents, friends/fellow school students planning to pursue a college/university degree, forces many people to go to a college and pursue a degree or a diploma.
In conclusion students go to a college or a university for various reasons - knowledge, career growth, experience and peer/parents' pressure
