Then do I take 82+37 and then minus the sum from 180?
I I thought it was 180 degrees they added up to... but I am confused now because that's a straight line?

you just need that angle so yes not add 82 +37 and then subtract you sum from 180
the first part was only to find that angle measure because a straight line is the measure of 180
