Simplify: (2.4)(a – 0.2b + 3.5c)
Do you know how to foil? :-)
If you know how to FOIL, this will help with this problem.
no
Okay. you have the leading coefficient that you will distribute among the entire terms.
Simplify: (2.4)(a – 0.2b + 3.5c) 2.4 is what you will apply to a, 0.2, 3.5c
So, we will multiply this to the entire equation.
FOIL = First Inner Outer Last This should help visualize it: http://i.imgur.com/cwybaLq.png
Simplify: (2.4)(a – 0.2b + 3.5c) 2.4-0.48b+8.4c
ok thanks
It's not one of things you can skimp on you'll use it all the way through calculus.
\[(2.4)(a-0.2b+3.5c)=2.4a-0.48b+8.4c\]
@zkoqmosii Couldn't of said it better myself..
@zkoqmosii Calculus depends on all other Mathematics Factors, it's rather scary.
I highly recommend learning to FOIL polynomials, or the rest of your math career will get sticky
@Maddy1251 I made the mistake with factoring quadratics :S
