You can factorize this expression through the method of mid term breaking. first arrange the expression according to the powers of x x2+6x-72 now according to mid term breaking we need to multiply 72 with the constant of x2 which is 72. next we need to find two factors of 72 that once we add or subtract we will get the number 6. Now we know that 12x6= 72 and 12-6=6 so x2+12x-6x-72 (x2+12x)-(6x-72) now we take common terms out of the brackets x(x+12)-6(x+12) now write down the like terms once and there you go! that's how you factorize a quadratic expression. (x-6) (x+12)
