OpenStudy (atomicreaper):

Find the missing coefficient. -______y^2 − [-5y − y(-7y − 9)] − [-y (15y + 4)] = 0

OpenStudy (xmissalycatx):

Make sure to distribute first. So like in your first bracket you have -y(-7y-9).. distribute the -y.. after you factor that... then factor the - into the rest of it. and same with the other bracket/parentheses.

OpenStudy (atomicreaper):

So it would come out to something like -______y^2 − [-5y+7y^2+9y] − [15y^2-4y)] = 0
