There are 5 layers of the Atmosphere: the Exosphere, the Thermosphere, the Mesosphere, the Stratosphere, and the Troposphere. The Exosphere is the outermost layer of the atmosphere, and merges with space. It is a very thin layer. The Thermosphere is the layer that is just above the mesosphere, and aurora lights occur here and satellites are located in this layer. The Mesosphere is the layer just above the Stratosphere. There isn't very much known about this layer. However, it is known that meteors burn up in this layer. The next layer, the Stratosphere, is just above the Troposphere. The Ozone layer is located here. Lastly, the Troposphere is the layer where we live. This layer contains approximately 75% of the atmosphere's mass and 99% of its water vapor and aerosols.
