Can someone help me in algebra?

OpenStudy (ninjaslice):

what do you need

OpenStudy (peace420):

Subtracting 3x2 + 4x – 5 from 7x2 + x + 9 results in a polynomial. After subtracting 4x2 – 3x from this polynomial, the difference is... ?

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

so the resulting polynomial can be found by collecting like terms \[7x^2 + x + 9 - (3x^2 + 4x - 5) \] si distribute the negative \[7x^2 + x + 9 -3x^2 -4x + 5 \] now collect the like terms \[(7 - 3)x^2 +(1 -4)x + (9 + 5) = \] simplify the expression above.,... then you need to do the 2nd subtraction. to get a final answer

OpenStudy (peace420):

thanks @campbell_st
